How CSRL Adopted to Challenges Posed By COVID-19

At CSRL, one of the best ngo for education in India, we know our work cannot cease due to any reason. Since the people we serve are less privileged and downtrodden individuals already going through financial and social problems, it is even more important that we step up our effort further. So how do we follow all the rules of social distancing amidst pandemics while continuing to serve our students?

best ngo for education

Along with our own program to provide free education for poor but talented students, CSRL has been connecting people to organizations for various other needs. On the education end, we are rapidly developing a new model of interaction with our students and motivating and inspiring them to keep themselves and their loved ones safe and happy. Some of the tech and organizational changes we’ve adopted across all CSRL projects are:

·        Switching to digital learning platforms

·        Creation of whatsapp groups, Zoom classes, and scheduled conference calls

·        Using note/book-based learning methods where digital learning is not practical

·        Revising curriculums

·        Rigorous preparation and planning for exams

Other than this, the overwhelming effect this has on the economy also means that CSRL may face financial difficulty for some of its programs.  CSR in India is helping these institutions to gather funds for their educational program.

Our CSRL mentors took on the challenge of covering the entire syllabus to e-learning and they are succeeding! These e-classes are resuming our students’ preparation, and keeping them involved, motivated, and connected to their classmates and educators. NGO education in India is helping these institutions to gather funds for their educational program.

We anticipate that e-learning will become a standard practice and a need. We have vowed not to leave any student behind amidst this pandemic situation. Our students are hard-working students with dreams of achievement and social progress.

Impact of COVID-19 on Students and Academic Activities

For more than six months the entire world is fighting an invisible enemy (COVID-19) that is probably by far the most dangerous of its kind. The COVID-19 outbreak has brought academic activity to a complete halt, and students all over the world are dealing with the situation that they were never prepared to manage.

Impact of COVID-19 on Students

With the novel coronavirus spreading fast from one country to another, countries across the world were compelled to shut down schools and colleges. Now, students are sitting at home and are unable to attend their coaching classes or colleges. Stuck inside their homes, one major obstacle that students are facing is how to concentrate on their studies and revision time in the current pandemic situation.

The biggest impact will be on all those students who are about to enter their high school or college. With most educational institutes like schools and colleges have shut down, students who are in the passing period is facing the maximum brunt of this outbreak. Those students who are preparing for important entrance exams such as the NEET and IIT will have a major gap in their understanding of important and crucial topics. This will hinder their performance during the final exams, and many students will be unable to fulfill their ambitions of becoming doctors and engineers.

Students preparing for entrance exams must stay in touch with the subject, but since the virus has reached almost everywhere, no forecast can predict the loss that these students might suffer. It is lucky that since most universities are switching to online classes, there are portals available that provide all the support when it comes to coaching for the NEET and the IIT JEEexams as well.

Just like there are plenty of online classes that help students train for the IIT JEE, several institutes are offering free educationfor poor students who are in high school by providing them free coaching and support. One such platform is Super 30 program of CSRL. Over the years the success of super 30 program has been outstanding with more than 800 students benefited from it.
